This program is a prepaid metering system. Rental homes are excellent
for the PowerStat system. Owners have the advantage of keeping the
power on, even when the home is not being rented. Plus, with having
electricity paid ahead of time, renters and owners won't have to
deal with the inconvenience of connecting and disconnecting power.
Also, there is no need for renters to put down large security deposits.
Here's how it works. Think of the PowerStat display box in your
home or apartment as an "energy bank." You make ahead-of-time
deposits in this "energy bank" with Power Cards that you
buy from Cimarron Electric and feed through the display box. Then,
as you use electricity, the system deducts the purchases from your
"energy bank" balance.

as many PowerCards as you want, as often as you want. They are
available from CEC's office during regular business hours, Monday
through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except holidays. Power cards
are available after hours for an additional service fee. |
